Since March 2023 I have been part of the creation of Palettes of Palestine. This is a collective based in Brussels that organises events and workshops as an invitation and call to action to raise awareness and resist through art and culture. We aim to bring people together to discover more of Palestine that isn’t present in the mainstream media as it is overshadowed by the reality Palestinians face under illegal occupation and apartheid. Our goal is to give space and shed light on Palestinian artists, youth, creativity, entrepreneurship.
Since the start of the collective we have organised four big events, a traveling exhibition that has been shown in more than 10 locations, developed two workshops (collage and embroidery) for adults and kids that have reached over a 1000 participants of all ages, we have started a T-shirt line spreading the message of children in Gaza and have supported many Palestinian artists to show their work and Brussels based groups in Brussels to organise events.
